Duke Energy Progress began performing vegetation management in April and will continue through the end of July.

This week, Lewis Tree Company, Duke Energy’s contractor, has added the Broadway circuit, which includes the area between Whip-Poor-Will Lane and Dixie Farm Road along Highway 42. There is also work to be performed along Cox Mill Road, Avents Ferry Road, and other miscellaneous locations in the same vicinity.

A Lewis Tree Company representative is already contacting affected landowners, according to information from Duke Energy.

Lewis Tree Company has already been working on the Chatham Street circuit, which includes north and south Horner Blvd, Hill Avenue, north and south First Avenue, Market Street, Hickory Avenue, and Chatham Street.

Anyone who has concerns about the work should contact Duke Energy directly at 844-388-7425.
