Engine Companies
The Sanford Fire Department operates 2 engine companies and 1 ladder company. Every engine company is a triple combination class A pumper. This means that the truck carries water, hose, and a fire pump for extinguishing fires. In addition to firefighting equipment, all engines have life saving EMS equipment, including defibrillators for cardiac arrest patients. All engines carry special monitors to detect Carbon Monoxide.
