Lee County Firefighters' Burned Children Fund is 1
of 15 chapters in the state. Charlotte FD is the founder
and head office for the entire state. We raise funds
for here in Lee County for burned children, prevention
materials such as Fire Pup, Freddie the Robot fire truck.
We support and take part in the Burn Camps held by NC
Jaycee Burn Center. We received the traveling bucket
award in February for the most contributions to the
burn center per capita. We donated over 11,000.00 just
1.5 cents over Cabarrus County.
The FFBCF local Chapter began in 2000 for Lee County.
We received the Traveling Fire Bucket from the NC Jaycee
Burn Center in 2005, 2006, and in 2007 making it our
home for good in Lee County. Sanford Fire department
works in conjunction with all other county departments
in this program.
