The Risk Management Office is involved in three major activities; Workers Compensation Program, Property and Liability Program, and Safety and Health. The first is the monitoring and administering of Worker’s Compensation claims on behalf of the city’s employees who are injured or suffer an illness through work related activities. The second is monitoring and administering of the Property and Liability program. This program provides the general liability, automobile and comprehensive insurance for all City activities, vehicles and equipment. The third program is development of a comprehensive employee health and safety program, which includes a training program covering more than thirty (30) class topics; development and updating of a safety manual; working for OSHA compliance; and reducing the number of repeat injuries.
