The City of Sanford Network

 

 

The City of Sanford Network connects all sites back to city hall through the use of Fiber Optics and ISDN Connections.  We have several Cisco Routers, Switches, and Fiber Transceivers throughout the Wide Area Network that send the network signals to each building.  Most networking equipment is rack mounted or is in enclosures.  The equipment is chosen to meet our needs up to three years out, due to the rapid growth rate of the network.  It has evolved from what was once a series of mainframes and data terminals to what we have today.  The network can meet the needs of high bandwidth requirements that many of our site servers and workstations demand.
