Technology Update

Intel has produced the Core 2 Duo chip with several of the PC Makers now offering it in their machines.  The Core 2 Duo is the chip of choice now breaking the speed of 2.4GHz and is relatively affordable.  It is designed for major multi-tasking and high productivity.

If you are shopping for a PC you may notice software such as Windows Vista (including 5 versions), Windows XP Home, Windows XP Professional, Office XP and Office 2007.  The software titles may be confusing to some.  Windows Vista, Windows XP Home and Windows XP Professional,  are the PC’s operating system software.  Window Vista Ultimate, Business, & Enterprise Editions and Windows XP Professional are designed with the business user in mind.  Windows Vista Home Basic & Premium Editions and Windows XP Home on the other hand, are designed for the home user with easy to use internet, digital photography, and compatibility with games.  Office XP, the latest office software, and Office 2007 are application software for your computer that include Word, Excel, and other programs.  The combination of Windows Vista Home Premium (the latest Windows operating system software) and Office 2007 would be the appropriate choice for most home users.

Keep checking back for new updates!
