The City currently uses Trend Micro for virus protection. This software is maintained by Information Systems. All updates and regular scans are scheduled on a weekly basis. The City also uses Spybot and Ad-Aware in conjunction with Trend Micro to prevent spyware.

If you suspect you might have a virus, scan your hard drive (c drive) using your anti-virus software. If a virus is found or you are still unsure please contact the Information Systems Department immediately.

  • DO NOT open any email you suspect has a virus.
  • DO NOT open email if you do not recognize the sender or if the subject line is garbled.
