Affordable Housing Development

The City of Sanford works with area non-profit affordable housing developers such as Brick Capital Community Development Corporation, Sanford Area Habitat for Humanity and the Sanford Affordable Housing Development Corporation to provide redevelopment lots at a nominal fee for the production of affordable housing.

In addition, citizens and for-profit developers are able to purchase the lots at tax value to develop affordable housing in the designated redevelopment area. Plans must be approved prior to purchase and deed restrictions apply.
