Through our solid waste contract with Waste Management, the City provides a 90-gallon rollout garbage can and an 18-gallon recycling bin to each resident. Garbage and recycling are picked up once/week. (The schedule for each area of the city is on a color-coded map.) Recycling includes metal, glass, plastic and paper items. If citizens desire information concerning the day garbage is collected in their area, they can call the Public Works Service Center at (919) 775-8247.

Commercial accounts must arrange for private collection.
