Cross Connection Program

Program Objective

The objectives of this program are to protect the public potable water supply against actual or potential contamination. This is accomplished by isolating contaminants or pollutants within the consumer's water system which could, under adverse conditions, backflow through uncontrolled cross connections into the public water system.

Cross Connection Control

The program also seeks to eliminate or control existing cross connections, actual or potential, between the consumers potable water systems and non-potable or industrial piping systems.

This program provides a continuing inspection program of cross connection which will systematically and effectively control all actual or potential cross connections, which may be installed in the future.
