This year’s Sanford Block Party will focus on N. First Street, N. Second Street, N. Third Street, and N. Fourth Street as well as Midland Avenue and North Avenue.
Led by host churches East Sanford Baptist Church and Jonesboro UMC, the block party brings together elected officials, municipal staff, civic groups, and other volunteers to spend the day sprucing up the neighborhood, including landscaping, light painting, and light construction where needed.
This is the 10th annual Sanford Block Party. Previous clean-ups were on Charlotte Avenue, McIver Street, Maple Avenue, Hawkins Avenue, Steele Street, Woodland Avenue, McIntosh Street, the W.B. Wicker School area, and the Temple Ballpark area.

Donations Needed
While the City of Sanford does provide some supplies, the bulk of this event relies on donations from the community and local businesses. This project requires repair and landscaping tools and materials, as well as food, beverages, and entertainment for those who volunteer.
