Sister City Membership Social this Saturday

Sanford Sister Cities will host a membership social at Hugger Mugger this Saturday to share more information about the program and its activities.

In October 2019, Sanford signed a sister city agreement with Atizapán de Zaragoza, Mexico. To commemorate the event, 25+ dancers from Mexico performed traditional folklore dances in Sanford at the Annual Latino Festival. 

The event on Saturday will feature a dance demo by Magetsi 4H, a local club that focuses on traditional Mexican folklore dancing. Club members will then offer instruction for a traditional dance, similar to the ones performed in October.

The social will begin at 7:00 p.m. and last an hour. There is no charge to participate.

At 8:00 p.m., Sanford Latin Dance will take over with its regular dance night, which includes salsa instruction and dancing until the brewery closes. The cost for that portion of the night is $15/person, which includes an adult beverage of your choice.
