City of Sanford Offers Compost Delivery at Discounted Rate

To protect the health and safety of employees and the public during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the City of Sanford’s compost facility is closed. However, delivery is now available for both woodchips and leaf compost at a discounted rate.

Delivery is available on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The delivery charge for inside the city limits is $20. Deliveries outside of Sanford’s city limits cost $32.50. Deliveries are taken no further than the Lee County line.

To schedule a delivery, call the Public Works Service Center at 919-775-8247. Payment must be made over the phone.
