Reminder: Downtown StreetFest & Fireworks on Saturday!

The City of Sanford and Downtown Sanford, Inc. want to remind you about the Downtown Streetfest & Fireworks festival happening this Saturday in downtown Sanford.

The day-long event will include live music, food and beverage trucks, a fun zone for kids and teens, a cornhole tournament, art, demos, vendors, a dance party, and fireworks. Southern Culture on the Skids is the headline band.

Event date & time: Saturday, April 14 starting at 12 p.m. A 5K Fun Run sponsored by The Salvation Army will take place that morning. A dance party will be held in Depot Park starting at 8 p.m. Fireworks will follow. View the festival schedule and map here.

Event location: The block of downtown Sanford ringed by Steele Street, Carthage Street, Moore Street, and Wicker Street. The dance party and fireworks will be in Depot Park.

All activities are free of charge. Food and beverages will be available for purchase and vendors will offer various items for sale.

Important: Downtown streets will be closed all day. View a map of available parking here. 

Noise warning: During the fireworks display, which will start at approximately 8:45 p.m., you can expect to hear lots of noise for miles around downtown for 10 to 15 minutes.
