DREAM Mural Ribbon Cutting this Friday
The
City of Sanford’s Appearance Commission will
cut the ribbon on Sanford’s tenth mural on Friday, Sept. 28 at 5:00 p.m.
Painted by Chris Dalton,
the DREAM mural depicts pigs flying and is meant to spark the imagination of all who view it. It is located at 2412 S. Horner Blvd in the Cameron Shopping Center that houses Piggly Wiggly and Petsense.
The ribbon cutting will feature refreshments and music. The Appearance Commission will have pig noses available while supplies last. There will also be two door prizes: a special pig doll donated by Chris Dalton and a basket of pet-related items donated by Petsense.
Attendees can also purchase a $10 raffle ticket for an original painting of the mural. The raffle will benefit the Public Arts Program.
The mural was funded by a grant from the Honorable John Sauls of the N.C. House of Representatives, the State of North Carolina, and the Cameron Shopping Center.
