Public Project Charrette Starts Today at the Buggy Company Building
The Sanford/Lee County Planning Department
will host a public Project Charrette
next week to develop recommendations to improve Carthage Street and Charlotte Avenue.
The Project Charrette
is a 3-day workshop where urban and landscape designers, planners, and roadway engineers will come together to design solutions for making the streets more pedestrian and bike friendly.
Experts will be located in the Buggy Company building and will work from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day with a lunch hour break at 12:00 p.m. They will hold pin-up meetings each night at 5:30 p.m. On the last night, the experts will present their final recommendations.
The public is welcome to be part of the process. All day long, anyone interested in participating is welcome to stop by, talk to the team, provide feedback, and share ideas.
