Kiwanis Family Park Renovation Underway

Construction on the Kiwanis Family Park renovation will start on Monday, January 21.

Kiwanis Family Park will remain open during this phase of the renovation. Park visitors will be able to use the main park entrance and existing trails, playground, and restrooms. Parking will be limited and access to the construction area will be restricted.

Contractors spent Thursday and Friday marking trees, removing the park’s split-rail fence, securing the site, and routing vehicles to the interior parking lot.

Starting Monday, crews will install tree and silt fencing as well as erosion control. Site demolition will follow.

As construction progresses, the playground and bathroom will close to visitors. Trails will remain open during the renovation.
