'Growing Volunteers' Sculpture Unveiled in Depot Park
The
City of Sanford Appearance Commission unveiled Sanford's newest public art on Saturday in Depot Park.
Called "Growing Volunteers," the new installation is a sculpture depicting a watering can showering down on flowers. It is dedicated to Helen Hincks, who was a devoted volunteer who was known for her efforts to improve downtown Sanford.
The sculpture, which is
installed in Depot Park near the Railroad House Museum, also honors all of downtown's many volunteers.
