Depot Renovation Fundraiser Set for Thursday

This Thursday, City of Sanford, Downtown Sanford, Inc., and the Sanford Area Growth Alliance will host One Table…One Depot, a community supper held on the side street adjacent to Depot Park. 

The supper is a kick-off event for a capital campaign to raise funds to renovate the historic Sanford Depot building to house a state-of-the-art welcome center, and provide offices for Downtown Sanford, Inc. and the Visit Sanford Tourism Development Authority. 

Local downtown chefs are collaborating on a specially prepared seasonal farm-to-fork menu. The supper will be family friendly. Tickets are $50 for adults and $20 for children.

The night will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a public art unveiling and dedication by the City of Sanford Appearance Commission. Three new sculptures reflecting our railroad heritage will be revealed. Supper will follow at 5:30 p.m.

The night will conclude with a parade to Steele Street for Downtown Alive! featuring Al Strong and his jazz band along with downtown breweries.
