Changes to Tax Rate

Sanford City Council approved a $0.02 tax increase for FY 2018-19 to accommodate the cost of upgrading Kiwanis Family Park to include a splash pad, playground, walking track, and improved parking. The project was approved by voters in the 2013 municipal bond referendum.

Vehicle Fee

The FY 2018-19 budget adds a $30 vehicle fee for every vehicle and trailer registered within the municipal city limits. This fee will be applied to street maintenance, including resurfacing, patching, and other necessary repairs. This fee will be included on motor vehicle tax bills generated after July 1, 2018.
