Starting July 1, 2024, TriRiver Water will provide all water and wastewater services for the City of Sanford and the Town of Pittsboro.
The City of Sanford announced in March it would provide utility services under the new name, which aligns with the expanded scope of the City’s water and wastewater services.
With Sanford’s new role of utility provider for Pittsboro, the name TriRiver Water better reflects Sanford’s growth from a local utility to a regional one.
While TriRiver Water is different than what customers are used to, the level of service provided to customers will remain the same.
