Depot Park

In 1997, the City of Sanford and Downtown Sanford Inc had a joint vision for a park in Sanford's historic downtown that would highlight the city's roots while giving people a clean, relaxing place to come together.

Depot Park

After much hard work, that vision was realized in Depot Park. The parks now used for concerts, celebrations, and special events.

Amenities

The park includes a fountain, band stand, and the historic Sanford Depot. The Railroad House Museum and No. 12 Locomotive, both owned and managed by the Railroad House Historic Association, are located adjacent to the public grounds.

Maintenance

The Parks and Grounds Department manages Depot Park, which includes ensuring the park fountain is monitored daily to ensure its pH and chlorine levels are correct and that the filter system is in good working order. The department also cleans the tanks and operational system.
