Risk Management

The Risk Management Office is involved in 3 major activities:
  • Property and Liability Program
  • Safety and Health Program
  • Worker's Compensation Program

Worker's Compensation Program

The first is the monitoring and administering of Worker's Compensation claims on behalf of the city's employees who are injured or suffer an illness through work related activities.

Property & Liability Program

The second is monitoring and administering of the Property and Liability program. This program provides the general liability, automobile and comprehensive insurance for all City activities, vehicles and equipment.

Safety & Health Program

The third program is development of a comprehensive employee health and safety program, which includes a training program covering more than 30 class topics; development and updating of a safety manual; working for OSHA compliance; and reducing the number of repeat injuries.
