Parcel Information Requests

If you are a resident of Sanford, Broadway, or Lee County asking a question about your personal property, please contact the Department of Community Development directly at 919-718-4656 or zoning@sanfordnc.net. 

For inquiries from law firms and other professionals conducting due diligence research on a property who are in need of a Zoning Verification Letter, please refer to the Community Development Department's Applications & Permits webpage and complete a Zoning Verification Letter Request and submit it through our CSS Self-Service Portal.  

Inquiries from real estate agents on behalf of clients, land development, investment, or other development professionals regarding specific details about parcels within the City of Sanford, Lee County, and the Town of Broadway should be submitted electronically to Department of Community Development staff.  Please complete the online request form, and a copy will be forwarded to the Community Development staff for review.

The Department of Community Development will accept information requests for specific parcel(s) related to all aspects of land use regulation and development, including: current zoning designation, current jurisdiction, availability of public utilities, long range/comprehensive plan recommendations, available flood hazard and watershed information, and applicable subdivision regulations.  

Community Development staff will respond to your inquiry via email as time and workload allows.
