[ARCHIVED] National Night Out Set for Tuesday, Oct. 4

NNO 2022

Neighborhoods across Sanford will celebrate National Night Out (NNO) on Tuesday, October 4.

NNO is an annual event that aims to build strong partnerships between residents and first responders to prevent crime, connect neighbors, and strengthen community spirit.

Sanford began participating in NNO in August 1993. This is the first year holding the event in the fall. "We hope the cooler weather encourages more people to participate," says Public Information Officer Kelly Miller, who has coordinated the event for the city since 2013.

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, 20 neighborhoods have registered to participate.
