Construction of a performance stage at Kiwanis Family Park is set to begin on Tuesday.
The stage will be located adjacent to the inclusive playground and will face Wicker Street. Once complete, the addition will be home to concerts, movies, and more.
During the construction process, the City-owned pavilion and the parking area next to the playground will be closed. Portions of the paved walking trail will be inaccessible. The playground will remain open and the splash pad is set to open for the season on May 18.
The stage is anticipated to be complete in early summer.
