[ARCHIVED] Street Party Planned for Trade Street on March 29

Street Party Planned for Trade Street on March 29

Get ready for a day of live music, food, and shopping at a street party on Trade Street hosted by the Sanford Parks and Grounds Department on Saturday, March 29.

Called “Busking in the ‘Boro,” this vibrant event will celebrate historic Jonesboro’s unique charm from 10 AM to 4 PM.

The live music lineup features The British Invaders at 10:00 AM, Workin’ On Commission at 12:30 PM, and Island Time Band at 2:30 PM.

Beyond the music, explore a variety of craft vendors, including This and That Custom Crafts, Clay & More by Rhonda, and Visit Sanford.

Around a dozen food trucks will be on-site, including A Little Slice of Bubba’s, Cash’s Smokin’ BBQ, Tacos El Primo, and many more.

Parking is available at the Watson Avenue and Humber Street city parking lots.

Historic Jonesboro & Sanford's Community Spirit

Sanford and Jonesboro merged in 1947, forming the City of Sanford. Now known as Jonesboro Heights, this area is part of the Lee Avenue Historic District. With its preserved landmarks and local businesses, the neighborhood continues to maintain its historic charm for generations to come.

Busking in the ‘Boro is all about celebrating live music, local artists, and the unique spirit of Jonesboro,” says Caroline Jeffries, Parks and Grounds Administrator. “Events like this strengthen our community by supporting small businesses and creating a space where people can connect and enjoy a great time together.

The department has a full lineup of events for 2025, including street festivals, summer concerts, yoga in the park, and outdoor movies. Visit here for more information.
