The City of Sanford is accepting applications to fill four vacancies on its boards, commissions, and committees.
Board appointees have the opportunity to make recommendations to Sanford City Council on municipal matters that better the lives of all residents.
Current vacancies:
- 1 appointment to the ADA Commission;
- 1 appointment to the Joint Environmental Affairs Board; and
- 2 appointments to the Sanford Parks Commission.
These appointments will serve a term ending on June 30, 2028.
To be eligible, candidates must be at least 18 years old, be registered to vote in Lee County; and reside within Sanford's city limits.
Applications can be picked up at the City Clerk’s office at the Sanford Municipal Center, located at 225 E. Weatherspoon Street in Sanford. Candidates can apply online here.
