The City of Sanford is resurfacing and rehabilitating more than 3 miles of street within the city limits, starting today.
The project has been awarded to Fred Smith Contracting. Subcontractor Bartholomew Paving will start the process by patching the streets scheduled for resurfacing. A specialty paving subcontractor will complete all the work associated with full depth reclamation.
Patching work will be completed in this order:
- Lakeside Drive from Spring Branch to Bickett Road.
- Bickett Road from Pine Street to Forrest Street.
- McIver Street from S. Eighth Street to Oakwood Drive.
- S. Fourth Street from Oakwood Drive to Goldsboro Avenue.
- Primrose Lane from Pinehurst Street to Courtland Drive.
Fred Smith will begin complete street restoration and overlay starting March 18, 2024. The work should be complete by May 31, 2024.
