The City of Sanford is holding an informational meeting at Walter McNeil Jr. Park to share plans for improvement and hear the community’s feedback.
The City has held several public input sessions at the park to hear from residents and park visitors about how the park could improve. Now it seeks a $250,000 Parks and Recreation Trust Fund grant to accomplish those goals.
At the meeting, attendees will have the chance to see plans for the park’s transformation and share support for the City’s vision – which is a crucial component of the grant application.
The meeting will start at 10 a.m. on March 16, 2024, at the park, located at 917 Martin Street.
