Ghost Signs
The City of Sanford Appearance Commission has undertaken to restore several "ghost signs" around Sanford.
A ghost sign is an old hand-painted advertising sign that has been preserved on a building for an extended period of time. Whether the ghost signs represent nostalgia for a gone-by era or a memory of Sanford's history, restoring the signage has been welcomed and cheered by the Lee County community.
